Migrated a rigid on-premises FinTech infrastructure to a scalable, secure, highly available IaaS solution on AWS.
The problem
The FinTech startup faced performance bottlenecks and regulatory compliance risks from a rigid on-premises setup.
What I built
- 01
Engineered a multi-AZ VPC in us-east-1 with isolated public/private subnets for high availability and low latency.
- 02
Deployed Multi-AZ Amazon RDS for PostgreSQL and Amazon EFS for scalable shared file storage.
- 03
Implemented an Auto Scaling Group and Application Load Balancer to manage user load dynamically.
- 04
Modernised access with AWS Managed Microsoft AD across multiple AZs, with OUs and GPOs for strict security controls.
- 05
Configured Windows Server bastion hosts for secure, restricted administrative access.
